The watchdog system is a safety feature that if configured properly does not offer any drawbacks. There is no reason to not use it.

Scorpion's Watchdog System provides real-time monitoring and protection of critical engine parameters to help prevent damage and ensure safe operation.

Boost Monitoring

Continuously monitors boost pressure levels and can automatically reduce power if unsafe levels are detected. This helps prevent overboosting and potential turbocharger damage.

Knock Detection

Advanced knock detection algorithms monitor for engine knock and alert you when knock is detected, allowing you to take corrective action.

Fuel System Protection

Monitors fuel pressure and alerts you if unsafe conditions are detected. This helps you identify potential fuel system issues before they can cause engine damage.

Fuel Trim Monitoring

Monitors the short term fuel trim to detect if there is any issues with the fueling. This can prevent your engine from going lean which can destroy your motor.

Automatic Power Reduction

When unsafe conditions are detected, the system will automatically reduce power in a controlled manner to help protect engine components while maintaining safe operation.

Warning Indicators

Visual warnings are provided through the check engine light when the watchdog system detects potential issues, allowing you to take corrective action. Through our software you can read what triggered the warning.
