Registering a Vehicle
Why register?
After you have purchased a license, you need to register your vehicle with Scorpion. This is because the registration process will upload your vehicle specific details to our servers so that we can properly support your vehicle.
How to Register
Registration can only be done with the vehicle connected to our software. There are multiple ways to do this.
Using the Desktop CLI
The desktop CLI can be used to register your vehicle. Before you do this, ensure your laptop is connected to the vehicle AND that it has internet access. This is because the registration process will download your vehicle specific details to our servers.
The easiest way to do this is to “tether” your phone to your laptop via USB. This way you can use your phones internet connection to register your vehicle while using the WiFi for DS1 connection.
To register your vehicle, run the following command:
ScorpionCLI.exe register
You will then be prompted to login to your Scorpion account. After that the vehicle will be registered and you will see a message saying “Vehicle registered successfully”. You vehicle is now ready to use with Scorpion.
You can now use the desktop CLI to patch binaries, or the web patching to patch binaries for you.
