Retard
In the retard section you can set up the amount of retard to add to the ignition timing when antilag is activated. This is what spools the turbo during the antilag process.
Configuration
Enabled
Whether or not the retard feature is enabled. This is strongly recommended to be enabled.
Mode
The mode of retard to use. It can be dynamic
or fixed
.
Dynamic
The retard amount is dynamically calculated based on the boost deviation. When dynamic is chosen, the Ignition Gain
, Ignition Offset
, Min Ignition
and Max Ignition
settings are required.
The calculation is done with the following formula: IGN_FINAL = (BOOST_DEVIATION * IgnitionGain / 1000) + IgnitionOffset
. The value is then clamped between Min Ignition
and Max Ignition
.
The BOOST_DEVIATION
is the boost deviation in hPa
. If we are under the target the boost deviation will be negative, if we are over the target the boost deviation will be positive.
The IGN_FINAL
value is the final ignition timing the car will apply. It’s not an offset to the base timing.
Fixed
The retard amount is a fixed value set in the Amount
field.
Amount
The amount of retard to add to the ignition timing when antilag is activated. Only used when Mode
is set to fixed
.
Ignition Gain
The gain of the ignition timing when antilag is activated. This is in 0.001 degrees
of timing retard per 1 hPa
of boost deviation. Only used when Mode
is set to dynamic
.
Ignition Offset
The offset of the ignition timing when antilag is activated. This is in degrees of timing retard.
This can be thought of as the base retard amount to apply at the boost target. Only used when Mode
is set to dynamic
.
Min Ignition
The minimum ignition timing when antilag is activated. Only used when Mode
is set to dynamic
.
Max Ignition
The maximum ignition timing when antilag is activated. Only used when Mode
is set to dynamic
.
